Background:
At first glance, he appears to others as a patient and composed man, well suited for his job as a man of God. No one knows how or why he came to serve in the church in the lowest district, among the dredge of life. Armed with just the clothes on his back and his staff, he just appeared in the neglected town one day and took up residence in the long abandoned and dilapidated church. Opening the doors to people from all walks of lives, he offered sanctuary and salvation to those who needs them, keeping them safe from harm. Before long, he was accepted as one of their own and is affectionately called ‘sensei’ by them.
This is where the phrase, ‘Do not judge a book by its cover’ comes to mind. Unbeknownst to others, under his mask of geniality is a man who kills in cold blood. Born sightless, he trained himself until he turned what was once his weakness into his strength. Once an assassin for the military, he has long retired and embraced the simpler life down below. People who take him for a harmless blind man will regret it if they tried to pull their weight around him. A hidden weapon kept in guise of his staff, he knows and will use it to defend himself and others close to him.
Rumoured to deal in illegal arms obtained from a contact in the military and keeping it in the church itself, no one has even proven, or rather, dared to look for the secret store. There is something dangerous about the amicable man that caused them to be careful around his person, something that years of living on streets have honed their instincts to be aware of. If there is any known weakness, it is his liking for young girls.
